- Operation Christmas Child – https://occ.samaritanspurse.org.au/ Its October already, and it is time for filling shoeboxes with amazing gifts and toys for children around the world with Operation Christmas Child. Collection this year is 24/10 to 4/11. Please contact Sam on 0407 353 740 to organise drop off your blessed shoeboxes, or if you need someone to collect them. - The Australian Property Research and Education Fund (APREF) – https://www.api.org.au/ An annual scholarship to rural and remote students undertaking study in property and property valuation degrees is on offer. The Scholarship, supports regional students to relocate, access and financially support their higher education journey over 3 years. Students will also connect to a mentor to guide and champion them throughout their degree. The scholarship helps cement pathways into the property profession, promoting exemplary education, maximising students potential and creating a thriving property workforce into the future. - Kickstart Outreach Ballarat Australia (KOBA) – koba.danandliz@gmail.com or phone 0427053725 KOBA is a new branch of Boaz College that is providing Gospel Conversations Training for Christians to become confident and proactive in sharing Jesus and making disciples in Jesus name. Training sessions are held at Dan and Liz Ewing’s home. On the second Wednesday of the month there is an hour and a half for training involving watching and then practising what is learnt from the No Place Left videos available through You Tube. On the second Sunday of each month from 10.30 am until 2.30 pm there is a time to get together and pray. Creating a space of reverence to listen to the Holy Spirit, have communion, go out and see whom the Lord leads us to. The remaining training sessions for 2023 include – Wednesday 8th and Sunday 12th November; Wednesday 6th and Sunday 10th of December
- Kickstart Outreach Ballarat Australia (KOBA) – New Bibles can be brought to Good News Radio Books and More for collecting on behalf of Kickstart Outreach Ballarat. These Bibles can be New King James, King James, New International or any standard version. KOBA would like to have on hand a reasonable quantity of Bibles for when they go out and evangelise, to provide to those who are open or have newly given their lives to Christ

- Regional Education Support Network (RESN) – http://resn.org.au/ Studying in rural areas can come with its challenges. That’s why RESN strives to help rural and regional Year 11 and 12 Students with their VCE studies. RESN is a free, volunteer-run, online education service with a 24 hour help portal, a database of quizzes and study materials for over 20 subjects, and live revision and tutoring sessions.
COMMUNITY IN ACTION is a free service provided by Good News Radio to promote your Christian or community event. In order to promote your event well in advance, please submit your announcement here if possible three weeks before the event. Announcements are put together at the weekend for broadcast three times a day in the following week, and generally run for two weeks on air.
